Not every active living community is going to be equal in terms of active residents, but one community located in Peoria, Arizona is changing all that. Here is what makes the Vistancia community very different than others.
What is the Vistancia project?

Many people do not know what exactly is happening in Peoria or how the Vistancia project is structured. It's not your typical retirement community and could be considered the ultimate destination for upscale luxury in your golden years. It also includes a community for families that includes schools for the kids too! So, what exactly is Vistancia if it's not just a retirement community?
Vistancia is- in fact, four distinctly different communities that are all separated from each other, but in so many ways, it's a lot more than what modern cities provide. Vistancia features award-winning home building companies, top-rated schools for the kids, plenty of parks and trails, two totally distinct golf courses, and luxury residence homes. Topping this off is adding the benefits of local stores and retail services.
If this is starting to sound like a completely new city, you might be sorely mistaken. Vistancia is simply a clever design community that shares a major chunk worth 7,100 acres within Peoria, Arizona. Among the 4 sections of Vistancia, there are one and two-story houses that are all constructed by various home building companies. There is a heavy emphasis on recreation, sports, and social lifestyle communities.
The bonus to all of this is that Vistancia is just a stone's throw from downtown Phoenix and minutes from major roadways. This little mirage in the desert is not just a flash in the pan and is still growing with sporadic construction and new additions. As you will read further, this is the latest news on what has been built in Vistancia and what is still getting underway. What you'll find within this interesting little nugget of living the good life' is amazingly original as a concept.
The Big Four
It seems that most of the best things in life all seem to include a rounded number that's been used successfully for many decades now. From the historic members of the Big 4 who made all of the major decisions during World War 1, on their role in the Treaty of Versailles. Another big four also included a series of ships built by the White Star Line which is best known for building the famous ship the Titanic.
At one time, the White Star fleet included the Celtic, Cedric, Baltic, and the Adriatic which serviced the Atlantic Ocean for a combined 110 years and transported over 1.5 million passengers from both Europe and America. When it comes to famous skiing destinations, it's hard to forget that Europe is home to the big four countries that include France, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
You might even know that the Big Four in thrash metal include Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth. They were the first to create a whole new style of heavy metal with these four iconic bands still drawing massive crowds to their live concerts. And who could forget the Agatha Christie book entitled "The Big Four" that was published in 1927 and follows her favorite detective Hercule Poirot chasing down 4 evil men who want to rule the world!
When it comes to Vistancia, this encompasses four big sections that all have their own distinct story and attractive features.
Northpointe

As an overview, Northpointe is a portion of Vistancia that is currently ongoing and will open soon. It currently covers 3,450 acres of land which has impressive views of the Peoria desert valley. It's also situated at the most elevated point of Vistancia allowing for incredible panoramic views. What is more attractive is that Pulte Homes and David Weekly Homes are both building and designing homes that will offer 1,841 to 3,297 square feet of living space.
Northpointe is currently still growing with many more homes that are planned, but only a small portion of that is physically built so far. Yet, Northpointe only has 300 completed homes with another 3,200 homes planned to be completed. This desert-themed neighborhood is primarily a single-story community dedicated to new couples or those who enjoy an active lifestyle.
These are good starter homes ranging between 2-5 bedrooms and 2 to 3 car garages. The average cost starts at $542,000 and up depending on the market value and availability. There are a total of nine different home models in the Northpointe Altitude community.
The Village

The Village is a completed community that is very family-friendly and features two elementary schools K-8 that are found within the Village community. Between these two schools, they are also close enough to walk to. The central appeal to The Village includes the Mountain Vista Club which is a 15,000 square foot building with a recreation center and aquatic park.
There are three swimming pools, two waterslides, an indoor basketball gymnasium, and a total of four outdoor tennis courts. It also features a gaming lawn that doubles for year-round celebrations, games, and events. There is also the Foothills Center boasts a six-acre facility for recreation complete with a 6-lane swimming pool, playground for the kiddos, and a beautiful picnic area.
The homes within Northpointe were built by David Weekly Homes, Pulte Homes, and Richmond American Homes, and are primarily 2-story family homes with 4 to 6 bedrooms and 2 to 3 car garages. The average asking price is somewhere between $480K through $1.2 million for models that are currently available.
Blackstone

This is one of the more selective and private areas within Vistancia that is specifically a gated community. This is also better known as being a golfing lifestyle community with a mountain range backdrop. This community also has a guarded front gate entrance and requires membership to be part of this community. Blackstone features a 30,000 square foot clubhouse for its residents. This includes a fitness center, resort pool, and private cabanas.
There are also tennis facilities, a children's play center, an extensive wine tasting room, and a fine dining restaurant. There is also a cantina bar, a private library, and even a tea room! Even though their clubhouse requires membership, this is merely a subscription that is paid by residents to take part in what is offered at a convenient all-in-one price. This is perfect for those who have financial freedom for living the good life.
As far as available homes, these single-story homes ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms will all range in pricing. Expect that the starting prices will begin at $550K up through $1.9 million. The most desirable homes that overlook the golf course will obviously be more expensive.
Trilogy

Of the entire Vistancia community, they have encapsulated their own active-living retirement area for new residents who enjoy active lifestyles. This section of Vistancia is shown only through the appointment but many single-story home models are meant for the 55+ community. Each home is 2 to 3 bedrooms with a garage and also features SheaConnect Smart Home systems installed.
The starting price for these smaller-scale homes starts at $450K to $650K for homes that feature no more than 1,500 to 2,800 square feet of living space. Most garages will allow 1 or 2-car garages and are mainly ranch-style models with very low outdoor maintenance. Since Trilogy is also a gated community, it helps provide a better level of safety for residents who have had bad experiences living in bad neighborhoods around Phoenix.
There are a total of two separate clubs within Trilogy called Mita and Kiva which are cleverly designed to appear more like a resort-style theme. All of the homes designed in Trilogy were built by Shea Homes that are award winners for retirement living homes. That's only the beginning of what is waiting for new residents who are looking to have a few more reasons to live life to the fullest.
There are a total of 4 restaurants and bars all throughout the trilogy and including V's Taproom, Café Solaz, Shallow Well, and The Market Place.
When it comes to golf, you'll find this 18-hole course is nothing less than par 72 for its championship skill and quality. There is a resort-sized pool, indoor lap, and spa pool. Many of the obvious fitness and outdoor sports will include pickleball, tennis, bocce ball, water sports, and general fitness exercise.
They've also added an expert spa and wellness center for skincare and beauty needs. One of the more creative experiences includes a culinary studio, art studio, plenty of social spaces, and of course trails and parks all over the Trilogy community. At first glance, Trilogy tends to look just like a vacation resort rather than a retirement home. This is perfect for active folks who are just getting around to actively living their lives more socially.
